The Thirsty Crow

A clever crow finds a smart way to drink water from a pot that is too narrow for its beak to reach.

During a scorching summer, a crow flew far and wide searching for water, growing more and more exhausted. He flew for a long time, but could not find a single drop anywhere. His throat had gone completely dry with thirst.

As he flew on, he spotted a pot sitting outside a house. Delighted, he swooped down beside it, but when he peeked inside, he saw that the water was sitting very low at the bottom. His beak couldn't reach anywhere close to it.

The crow grew anxious. He tried pushing the pot, hoping to tip it over, but it was far too heavy and wouldn't budge an inch. He even tried to squeeze his head deep inside, but his beak still couldn't touch the water.

After thinking for a while, an idea struck him. He looked around and noticed many small pebbles scattered nearby. One by one, he began picking them up in his beak and dropping them into the pot.

As he kept dropping pebbles in, the water level slowly began to rise. He continued dropping pebble after pebble, and after some time, the water finally rose all the way up to the rim of the pot.

Now the crow could easily dip his beak into the water and drink to his heart's content. His thirst was finally quenched, and feeling refreshed and happy, he flew off on his way.

Moral: Patience and clever thinking can solve even the most difficult problems. Where there's a will, there's a way.
